Rhythm LA was formed in January 2000 by producer Jake Alba. We are a full service production house with film and television capabilities. Our services include graphic animation, post production, color correction,  DVD authoring and video web integration. Our credits include broadcast shows, documentaries, educational DVDs and interactive design.

A USC graduate, having furthered his education at UCLA and Santa Monica College. Jake prides himself on work ethic and the ability to be open to challenges. “If you’re not challenging yourself, you’re not getting better.”  He has won awards for community service for his involvement with Little League Baseball, and has even been recognized by congress woman, Diane Watson, for his outstanding community contributions.  Jake is a native of Austin, Texas, having moved to Los Angeles in 1991 where he met and married his wife, Lillian, in 2004.

Recent credits include:

Faith Bowl  Super bowl week inspired Catholic Athletes for Christ and Family Theater to produce it's first round table discussion on Faith. Rhythm LA had the pleasure to produce and direct this show. 

The Bucknell Alumni Bike Race   A three week bike ride across America to help raise money for scholarships.  Rhythm LA conceived, produced and marketed a 60 minute film documenting the entire journey, as well as producing the still photography for the promotional websites also created by RLA. This event raised over $1.4 million in scholarship donations.

The Rosary Bowl    Jake was the English producer for this enormous event. Over 50, 000 people in attendance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. With hours of footage and only three days to edit, Jake worked feverishly day and night to produce an exciting product on a very tight schedule.  He’s now working on an instructional Rosary DVD for young people that includes celebrity actors and athletes,  for The Family Theater in Hollywood, founded by the late, Father Patrick Peyton.

“Blow”    Feature film starring Johnny Depp. Jake was hired to form the Cuban band seen in the movie.
